There are few old villages surrounding City of Moscow in Russia, such as Palekh, Kholui, Fedoskino & Mstera. These village were known as a seat of icon painting in old time. Since late 19th century & early 20th century the production of original lacquers of genuine Russian style was organized in these villages. Local painters used old secrets for new art. These flower patterns are one of their achievement. The Flower patterns from all these villages are painted in oils on papier-mache. Because of free hand painted, none of flower pattern is the same. Our studio is the one of early pioneer to transfer this technique to wearable jewelry. Actually more than 400 patterns are collected by our studio.
